Renee Hurley
Elders & Seniors Coordinator
Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre

I am so very fortunate to be in the role of the Elders & Seniors Coordinator at the Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre.

NAFC is able to provide programming to Elders & Seniors within the RMWB. From a monthly supper and bingo, to beading workshops twice a month, travelling to the southern rural communities to offer crafts and luncheons and hosting a variety of crafting workshops in Fort McMurray.

I have learned so many valuable skills being in this role, but the most important lesson I have learned is the importance of connection, acceptance and friendship.

(The Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre is an FCSS-funded organization in Fort McMurray, Alberta.)

We provide the platform for our member programs to connect and collaborate, so they can maximize resources and speak with an informed, credible, unified voice to all stakeholders.
