Faces of FCSS Coree
Coree Ladwig,
Supervisor of Adult, Seniors & Community Programs,
County of Grande Prairie FCSS
I was first drawn to FCSS earlier in my career when I was working on a new program being piloted across the province, where I was responsible for Northwest Alberta. As I got to know the communities, FCSS was always there—they had a strong pulse on what was happening locally, knew who to connect with, and played a key role in building relationships and moving initiatives forward. That really stood out to me and made me want to be part of that kind of community-focused work.
In my role with FCSS, I’ve learned how important strong relationships and community connections are. I’ve seen how much impact comes from understanding local needs and working closely with partners and residents. It’s reinforced for me the value of collaboration, communication, and staying connected to the community to support meaningful and relevant programs.

FCSSAA
The Family and Community Support Services Association of Alberta (FCSSAA) was founded in 1981, as a member-driven organization dedicated to bringing Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) programs from across the province together. We provide the platform for our member programs to connect and collaborate, so they can maximize resources and speak with an informed, credible, unified voice to all stakeholders.
