Carla Cavanagh
Program Coordinator,
Mannville-Minburn-Innisfree FCSS
I have always been a people person and I delight in community connection so, beginning a career with FCSS was an exciting transition.
My role as Program Coordinator is to develop connections with the residents in our service area, listen to emerging trends or concerns and then apply that information to create and implement prevention programs that will strengthen the capacity and enhance the quality of life for our residents.
I am passionate about this work because it allows me to try on different lenses, that I might notice gaps in accessibility of services. As a programmer I can support residents through these valleys and bridge them to the resources that may seem out of their reach. I am an optimist at heart and I’m proud of the partnership that our municipalities have with the province of Alberta because we share a common goal, the betterment of life for Albertans. A positive mindset is critical with this work because it keeps us moving forward and staying curious to create change. It’s something that I have committed to bringing to the table every single time.

FCSSAA
The Family and Community Support Services Association of Alberta (FCSSAA) was founded in 1981, as a member-driven organization dedicated to bringing Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) programs from across the province together. We provide the platform for our member programs to connect and collaborate, so they can maximize resources and speak with an informed, credible, unified voice to all stakeholders.
