Faces of FCSS Robin

Robin Porter,
Community Programmer,
Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo

Robin is a resilient and self assured woman within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and provides programming that aims to empower girls to be strong, smart and bold.

Being the first registered social worker at the organization, Robin incorporates her experiences working in the addictions and mental health sector to better support and encourage all girls she works with.

Additionally, Robin also embraces her personal life experiences and hobbies to create meaningful and long lasting relationships with the participants. Through her role as a program coordinator, Robin has learned the significance that preventative social service programs have on not only the girls she works with, but their families and communities as well.

FCSSAA

The Family and Community Support Services Association of Alberta (FCSSAA) was founded in 1981, as a member-driven organization dedicated to bringing Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) programs from across the province together. We provide the platform for our member programs to connect and collaborate, so they can maximize resources and speak with an informed, credible, unified voice to all stakeholders.
